As a family, we are so grateful to have found Bob and Jane to help us carry out the last wishes of my Father. From start to finish communication was handled so professionally, but more so, personably by both Jane and Bob. With so much experience, any questions we had were quickly answered. I rang Jane one morning and she talked me through the whole thing, offered up lots of advice and tips to help with everything.
On the day of our ashes ceremony, we were met at the gates by Jane and she took great care of us. Jane even went so far as to kindly offer to help prepare our water urn. Listen to Jane… she knows her stuff. Forget all you read about different types of urns online or wherever, Jane will be able to tell you exactly how things work and give you some important advice on which to go with.
“Song and Dance” is a cracking vessel, in really great condition. Very comfortable and very high class. Skipper Bob and Admiral Jane really looked after my family. Honestly after 5 minutes of meeting them they felt like an extension of the family. Jane was a very sympathetic and caring hostess to us and took wonderful care of everyone, especially my mum. Skipper Bob was just as great, allowing the kids to sit up top and teaching them all about piloting a vessel, the workings of radar, explaining how the flood gates worked… all sorts.
This sounds like a strange thing to say, but my whole family came away from this experience really happy. A day which was full of nerves, emotion and potential sadness, was turned into an enjoyable positive experience we will cherish and look back on fondly, and this was in no short part down to our hosts Bob and Jane. Thank you SO much. I would highly recommend.

I contacted Jane and Robert when we had decided that we would scatter my beloved dad’s ashes in the Medway river, near the towns where he lived for decades. Dad was a Hindu and it was important that his ashes should be scattered into water. Jane and Robert were kind, clear and professional in their communications with me and in offering support as I planned how and where we would scatter my dad’s ashes.
On the actual day, they were helpful and provided guidance when needed/asked for. They had a ‘light’ presence and felt supportive without any sense of intrusion into such an important event for my family. I cannot recommend Jane and Robert’s service enough.
We, the family, can’t thank you enough. It was a faultless day for our mother. All I can say is that you will be highly recommended within our community and friends. Especially thank you for your warmth and compassion.

I cannot praise this service highly enough, special thanks to Jane and Robert; we felt in good hands from the moment we first called. The boat is very clean and modern. The service was very peaceful and solemn. This was the most fitting and beautiful farewell.
I would highly recommend to my family and friends, there’s no better place to go for this service.

Remember to give those on the [shore] flowers to put into the water when you immerse the urn so they feel part of the ritual too. Thanks Bob and Jane for making it a smooth day for us.

Last month we scattered our Mother’s ashes on the River Medway. This was the first death in our family and we really did not know what to expect.
After my initial call with Bob, it was clear we would be in good hands, and he gave me the advice we needed. On the day we were greeted by Jane at the entrance to the marina; she was so warm and caring that it felt like we had known her for years just after a few moments. Both Jane and Bob were very knowledgeable about our faith system and guided us through the whole process.
I had concerns about how I would lower the urn, how and what you should do etc. Jane knew exactly how to do it and gently guided me through the process. The platform on the back of the boat was ideal and also the safety features.
Thanks to Bob, Jane, and their boat, the whole process of scattering our Mother’s ashes was done with so much love and peace.

The whole process from my first call to Bob and Jane enquiring about the service to the actual day of the service was extremely seamless and they made sure everything went smoothly. We were a little apprehensive as this was the first ceremony of scattering ashes that we had organised, let alone attended. Bob and Jane quickly put our minds to rest and the event was very dignified and went extremely smoothly. Bob and Jane engaged with the whole family including our two-year-old goddaughter. I have no reservations in recommending their hospitality and services to others.

From the very first call I had with Bob I knew there wasn’t anybody else I wanted to work with for this occasion; it was like I had known him for years. Bob and Jane were absolutely fantastic, and very much felt like part of the family rather than there to just provide a service. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.
